4 October 2023
- 15:4315:43, 4 October 2023 diff hist −45 August Neander Removed baseless claim that Neander was descended from Moses Mendelssohn. This is impossible, since Mendelssohn died in 1786 without grandchildren, and Neander was not the child of any of Mendelssohn's children. In fact, the last name "Mendel" is not a family name but a patronymic. Like Mendelssohn's father, Neander's father was called Mendel, which is a version of the common name Menachem. Having fathers with the same common name is in no way an indication of family relationship.
